    Why study engineering?

(a full run down of the reasons why you should study engineering)

The Odisha Rankings' Engineering & Technology subject defined by engineering students of BPUT university.
Studying engineering can lead to exciting career prospects and top salaries, as engineering companies, career specialists and students themselves highlight.

Engineering and technology may not be the easiest areas of study, but they're subjects that continue to be in demand, and because they are challenging, those studying them stand out from the crowd. You're also more likely to find employment quickly and work your way up the career ladder with an engineering or technology degree under your belt.

    Career satisfaction
Those that are drawn to an engineering or technology course will also find enjoyment and satisfaction throughout their career. Students drawn to a technology course probably do so because they find the subject interesting, and they will find employment in engineering and technology will continue to be interesting for the rest of their careers. It's an area that is guaranteed to continue to change and evolve so that, in a way, even experienced professionals are continually learning and refreshing their knowledge.

Good money and prospect-based benefits of studying engineering
The key benefits of studying engineering are both financial and prospect based. Financially, the starting salaries are among the best across all industry sectors. In many areas, the demand for well-qualified, skilled graduates outstrips supply, and businesses are struggling to find recruits for vacancies. New engineering graduates can expect to earn salaries higher than those in sectors sales, human resources and even finance.

Wide variety of career progression opportunities
An engineering-based education also gives you a great base to branch into different sectors and also work your way up to high level management. Engineers find themselves in finance, investment banking, human resources, IT, business development and administration areas. The industrial and economic success of every nation is rooted firmly in its manufacturing and engineering base, and the skills and ingenuity of its professional engineers.

    Which engineering branch is best?

(keep this in mind when deciding which branch is for you)

without labor and hard work you can not go so far in your career. whatever branch you will choose you have to do hard work to reach in top of the career. e.g. In mechanical engineering the physical is much more than the computer science engineering. but in computer science engineering brain work is much higher and also work load in IT industry or software industry is very high than mechanical engineering branch.

    Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
Laptop, tablet or smartphone, you're probably reading this guide on a device created using the expertise, theories and skills gained from computer science degrees. But exactly what is a computer science degree? Is the field of computing right for you? Is the CSE department the right one for you?
Computing and computer technology are part of the cars we drive, movies we watch, and how businesses and governments interact with us. Computing drives innovation in the sciences, engineering, and business. Like the human genome project, AIDS vaccine research, environmental monitoring and protection. Computing jobs are among the highest paid and have the highest job satisfaction. There actually are more computing jobs than qualified people to fill them in the United States. Having a computing major will provide you with a foundation of knowledge, problem solving, and logical thinking that will serve as a competitive advantage to you in your career, in whatever field you choose. Computing is often about being part of a team that requires people with many different kinds of skills. Yet there is also plenty of space for individual flair and imagination. An increasing number of universities and employers see successful completion of a computer science course as a sign of academic well-roundedness. Computing is one of those fields where it is almost impossible to predict what will happen next. We cannot even begin to imagine all the ways that you can make a contribution to it and how it can make your life's work exciting and real.

    Information Technology (IT)
The information technology (IT) field is a noble field to enter that has many opportunities for people that want to succeed as knowledge workers in the job market. There are many diverse jobs in the IT field with different technology domains that range from software development to hardware support. There is significant demand for technologist that specialize in virtualization, cloud computing, cyber security, software programming, vendor specific technologies, implementation experts, and technology managers. There are so many different jobs that you can have in the IT department that the list of positions are growing as technology is creating new positions. If you search in different classified ads, newspaper and magazine job ads, website job boards, and all the job databases online, you will see that the number of companies who want to hire IT professionals keep growing more and more everyday and The more that technology improves, the more jobs in the IT field are being offered. This is one of the main reason why in most countries worldwide, IT courses are given a high support and priority. The IT field is always changing and there are always new technologies that are being introduced and old technologies that are being phased out. As a member of the IT field you will have the opportunity to be part of a field that is changing the way we work and live. There has been major innovations with the introduction of social networking that has allowed people to collaborate and communicate from anywhere at any time. The ability to receive news at the moment that happens is revolutionizing the time it takes to get information. The divide between nations and location is becoming irrelevant with the advancement of video and voice over the internet. Companies now have the ability to host a meeting over the internet with participants from all over the world joining the meeting and exchanging ideas. The workforce is accessing their company data through mobile devices at record levels. Organizations are now taking advantage of cloud computing and moving their data from their corporate infrastructure to cloud service providers. Companies leverage IT to support the creation of new services, support their business functions, and to optimize their business efficiency. IT is now becoming a critical factor for companies to build their competitive advantage against other corporations within their industry. These companies use IT to differentiate their services and products to better provide more value to their customers. The need for IT professionals to help recommend these solutions, configure products to corporate requirements, and to maintain operations will be a continued driver of stability for the IT department.
